Hi Conrado, I am working on the graphics side of a game that consist on popping ballons. I really love to use the explosion effect as it looks great. This game will go on to be used on interactive tables at our restaurant (www.inamo-restaurant.com).

I think you can check out particle illusions (not freeware, standalone but works with Adobe After Effects) if u want an equal smoke effect, i guess he just picked a random gif from the web ;)
