Ok, my bad, the browsers only seem to convert the domain name of an URL to lowecase, the rest of the URL is unchanged. I tested with http://teSt.com and that gets converted to http://test.com by browser, but the parts after domain do not get converted, e.g. http://test.com/exAmple.html I added your URL under listing url and looks/works ok.
You mentioned something about not being able to post a link because of a lowecase conversion, I removed that conversion in ffiles scripts but I noticed that browsers (at least Firefox and Chrome) convert it to lowercase. You can see this in html code of href (not anchor text, that one is converted by ffiles). I guess is a good idea to always use lowercase urls and file names.
