Date range: 01 Jan 2008 - 01 Feb 2008
Users need to create a photo gallery, (by XML file recommended), first prize would get $250, later we decided to pay some more users because all the best galleries are very close to one another when comparing quality/features/design.
Results
- Gallery with title and info by Raptormax
This gallery has an original approach, no bugs found, nice design and effects.
$250 prize. - Interactive XML gallery with sorting by ModatSBD
Nice interactivity with the images, the images get rotated,randomized,aligned nicely. One small bug: when you release an image outside the stage, the tooltip remains active.
$50 reward. - Gallery with image scrolling by tpspoons
A good thumbs auto scroll (left-right), another good feature is that it can have more categories, fullscreen option.
$50 reward. - Gallery with BitmapData by Lucasmotta
This gallery has a very nice design, cool effects and a bugless functionality; the only drawback is a lack of features like for example "previous/next image" buttons.
$50 reward.
All the above galleries are good quality and it was very hard to name one gallery that is better than the others.
