I download the source and when open and preview directly without any modify get me more error with source " var f:Fuse = new Fuse(); " and sames ... so, I can't change the names of images files...
is only made for 12 pictures... might give it some more features later

You can actually load whatever you want. Flash video (flv) too... but don't think the animation would be so slidy. But you could play preview on roll over, and play on 'fullscreen'.

You only need to change the xml file in order to change the contents of the gallery. If you want to adopt the design made by someone else, it's simple, and if you want to change your website, you only need to upload i small xml file, and the new pictures...
This allows the user to change the picture by just dragging the image through the folder without even the need to enter into the .fla (maybe some modifications in the XML file)
What are the benefits of loading through XML? (I am new to all of this)

you've also got a bug when you roll over on the bottom edge of the 'strip'. dont know if that can be fixed.
The listing was updated now with the files sent by author. Looks/works much better.
I updated the listing again with the files you sent but it looks like it cannot load the images now. If you want to fix it send me the 2 files again. You might want to do a "file > save and comppress" because it reduces your fla size to half the size.

And the bug is due to som actions launched on "onLoadInit", and your cookies, cache n' stuff, just don't give a damn!
for some reason they are all off centered now...is it just me?
other than the first 2 pics being off centered when enlarged, evrything else looks very nice. I really like the back-glow.
