I have stopped improving this gallery. But i am preparing a new one from the ground. This new implementation will have support for multiple galleries, caption and description support for images, video support, dynamic font loading to be used in text styles, new effects and transitions also a much more reliable code.

If you want i can send you the current version of the gallery.It is in alpha condition. Caption feature is not fully implemented. But this will be the best option for you because i have decided to recode the whole project. I am planning to revise the transition and effect engines.

Unfortunately my desktop computer's monitor has stopped working and i sent it back to be fixed. I dont use my laptop for programming purposes so it does not have flash cs4 installed.
I will fix the cs4 file as soon as I can but you dont have to wait for me you can create a fla yourself and set the document class Gallery.as file all you have to do is this. There is no code or design done in fla file.
I will add a category option to the next version to supoort multiple galeries.

This i great, Im intrigued how you have done this. But the CS4 file does seem to open in my flash CS4. It throws an "unexpected file format" error... Any suggestions.

Maybe for future - What if you wanted to showcase multiple galleries? Could one add a navigation of galleries shown vertically on the left of the screen - the current gallery would be displayed as is ... just a thought.

If you mean how hard it is to learn how to use the gallery then it is very easy to use. All you have to do is preparing 2 xml files and there are 3 pdf files explaning the parameters that can be used. But if you want to make changes over the code it can be hard because none of them is commented. Unfortunately i dont have time to comment the codes.But still the code is very object oriented so all functionality is divided.
If you want a new functionality to be added comment it and i will try to add it to next version.

At last I updated the gallery. It has become much more better than the previous one and has a lot of new functionality. I will continue to upgrade it. I would be happy if you can put comments with the changes or additions you wanted. I will be adding new transitions in the near futture and will try to implement the additions you suggest.

Lets say on frame one a intro, and your gallery on Frame 5, with a "go to and play" actionscript on frame 1. I tried putting a stop action on frame 1 but it still ran the gallery. How would I do that...thanks in advance.

Frst you have to create an empty as3 project n Flash CS4 and save it in src folder. And in flash cs4 set document class Gallery.as that is all. I would like to give an CS3 file but i dont have an internet connection right now. will be releasing the next version of the gallery as soon as i am connected to internet(i hope in a few days). t will be in CS3 and have slideshow property.

Excellent gallery, however I am using CS4, and am new with Flash. How do I create the .fla so I can use it in CS4? You gave a brief explanation but I am still not clear, and help would be appreciated.

Right now it is only applicable for static images. But the code is implemented to accodomate other media type without making changes in the base code. I will be adding the support for video in the next versions.

Unfortunately The code uses some Flash 10 propeties like pixel bender and converting the other code to AS2 will be time consuming.
